After registration, you will receive an email with all the logistics. See the steps below to understand how the Adult Mental Health First Aid process works from start to finish.
Step 1: Self-Paced Online Coursework
2 Hours
Begin with the National Council’s online learning module. You'll explore the basics of mental health, learn to spot early signs of challenges, and understand your role as a Mental Health First Aider—all at your own pace.
Step 2: Live Virtual Training
6 Hours
Join Dr. Kortni Alston Lemon for a live Zoom session where we deepen your skills through guided practice. You’ll learn to apply the ALGEE Action Plan, support individuals facing mental health challenges, respond to crises with care, and strengthen your resilience as a helper.
Step 3: Certification
You're Official
After completing the online coursework and the live virtual training, you’ll receive your official Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
